XHTML 1.1 Failed!

Published on September 12, 2007 by Hallaj under Work

I tried to change my DocType from XHTML 1.0 Strict to XHTML 1.1 and it failed miserably. Several errors when loading from my Opera 9.23 was spotted. Normally, it comes from some unconditional breaks or even there’s a syntax error. I guess I just need a bit more time to play around with it. It’ll take a few more days, weeks, months or even years before I put it in I guess. Seems to be rather weird on my side so far. Oh, Content-Type application/xhtml+xml wouldn’t be recognized by Internet Explorer (IE) 6 as well. Not sure how well IE7 would do but oh well. Other known errors from my eyes were the images. It simply wouldn’t load and it made me wonder what’s wrong.

After all the testing, what was my conclusion? Stick with the current DocType until I figure out what’s wrong with it before moving. I have to say, I have not played with XHTML 1.1 ever before. It’s time to sit down and read about it I guess. Anyway, it’s going to be first Ramadan soon. By Maghrib that is and for those who will be fasting, Selamat Menyambut Ramadan and who’s not included.. have a great day I think. Cheers!
